DIY Spa Series Week 31 – Minimize Age Lines With A Homemade Eye Serum
Friday, September 3rd, 2010
How do you defy the signs of aging?
Strictly speaking, you don’t. We all know aging is a natural phenomenon – and no matter how many cosmetics, treatments and even surgeries claim to stop aging, truth is, we can only do so much to minimize it.
As we grow older (and wiser!), our physical appearance changes – our hair thins out and turns grey, our skin loses its elasticity and develops wrinkles, frequent exposure to the sun results to uneven skin tone and sunspots, metabolism is slower and the body is less firm, lips are thinner, and everything else sags! Such is the harsh reality of growing old, and it’s a reality that most women fear to face and embrace.
The good news is, with all the great resources and information available to us busy, working women today, we can arm ourselves with all-natural, chemical-free and effective ways to stay healthy and beautiful – and minimize the signs of aging in the process.

A Tribute To A Working Woman’s Hands And Feet
Women of this generation have their hands full – literally.
Today, we’re busy climbing the corporate ladder, running a business, traveling for a cause, saving the world! It’s amazing how much stuff we juggle. To some this is admirable, but the truth is, many of us are just beat.
Nowadays, it’s a luxury to be able relax, breathe, and be pampered. And special pampering is what the busy working woman’s hands and feet need!
A working woman’s hands are the most used and abused part of her body. From the time we wake up in the morning to the end of our day, we use our hands to do everything – preparing breakfast, washing the dishes, carrying stuff around, driving the car, typing, etc. And what about our feet? Wearing high heels to work everyday can take a toll on the heels and soles of our feet, and affect our entire body.

Friday, August 20th, 2010
What if you had soft, young looking hands – but pale, yellowish nails?
Major turn-off, right? Our nails need as much care as our hands, feet, face and hair, but often times, we think that a manicure or pedicure would do, and frequent nail color application. While this is a form of nail pampering, sometimes, our nails need just a little more than that, especially when they look pale and yellowish.
Yellow fingernails may be caused by a medical condition, but if you smoke or use nail polish regularly, these can be causing your discolored nails. Yellow fingernails aren’t uncommon, but surely you wouldn’t want to be seen in them!

Friday, August 13th, 2010Here’s the thing about having oily skin: you’re prone to blackheads!
How does this happen and how can we prevent it? Blackheads, which are a form of acne which develop on the face, neck and upper back, come about when oil is deposited in the ducts of our sebaceous glands. They may not pose any danger to our health, but they can be extremely irritating and painful. They can reduce one’s self-esteem because of the dirty, unpleasant look they bring to the face – and we want to get rid of them fast!

Protect those darling feet from the harsh glare of the sun with strawberries!
Ah, summer.
We love the footwear of the season – sexy thongs, slinky sandals, super comfortable slippers. But these babies expose our feet to the sun, dirt, wind and sand and while you may be enjoying the summer heat, your feet may be suffering from the combination of these harsh elements.
Indeed, our feet can use a LOT of help in summer. We wouldn’t want to expose rough dead skin for all to see, do we? Now we’ve got an amazing ingredient for today – strawberries!
We never think of strawberries when it comes to taking care of our feet but lo and behold — those pretty little berries are not just delicious fruits. Beauty-wise, they can help clear up acne and oiliness, reduce eye puffiness, leave hair glossy and beautifully conditioned, whiten teeth, make skin younger and smoother and so much more!
